一般现在时
1．构成：
一般现在时的构成主要有两种形式：
（1）be型：句子的谓语动词只有be（am，is或are）
a．肯定句中，只出现be， eg： I am a student．
b．否定句中，要在be后面加not， eg：She isn't a teacher． c．一般疑问句，要将be放在句子开头（注意句首字母大写），句尾用 问号，答语用Yes，主语 + be．或No，主语 + be + not．
eg： —Are you ready？ 你准备好了吗？
—Yes，I am． —No，I'm not．
（2）实义动词型：句中的谓语动词为实义动词（也叫行为动词）
a．肯定句中，只出现实义动词，
eg： I get up at 6 in the morning．
She gets up at 6 in the morning．
b．否定句中，要在实义动词前面加do（does）＋not，do（does）作助动词，本身无意义，常与not缩写成don't（doesn't），
eg： I don't like vegetables．
He doesn’t like vegetables．
c. 一般疑问句，要在句子开头加助动词Do（Does），句尾用问号，简 略答语用Yes，主语 + do（does）．或No，主语 + do（does）＋ not．
eg： —Do you like oranges？ —Does he like oranges?
—Yes，I do． —Yes, he does. —No，I don't． —No, he doesn’t.
2.用法
(1) 经常性或习惯性的动作，常与表示频度的时间状语连用。
时间状语： every…, at…, on Sunday, sometimes, often, always, usually, occasionally, seldom,
eg: I leave home for school at 7 every morning. (2) 客观真理，客观存在，科学事实。
eg：The earth moves around the sun.
Shanghai lies in the east of China.
(3) 表示格言或警句中。
eg：Pride goes before a fall. 骄者必败。

注意：此用法如果出现在宾语从句中，即使主句是过去时，从句谓语也要用一般现在时。
eg：Columbus proved that the earth is round. (4) 现在时刻的状态、能力、性格、个性。
eg：I don't want so much.
Ann Wang writes good English but does not speak well. 比较：Now I put the sugar in the cup.
I am doing my homework now. 第一句用一般现在时，用于操作演示或指导说明的示范性动作，表示言行的瞬间动作。
3.一般现在时表将来
当主句为将来时态或表示将来意义时，时间和条件的状语从句必须用一般现在时表将来。
eg：I’ll write to her when I have time. 我有空时会给她写信。 He'll call you as soon as he arrives there.
We won’t go to the Great Wall if it rains tomorrow. 【注】① 除表示时间和条件的状语从句外，表示让步、相似、比较的从句也必须用一般现在时表示将来。
eg：I’ll follow him wherever he goes. 他去哪儿，我就跟着去哪儿。
Whatever you say, I won’t pay. 无论你说什么，我都不会付钱。Whether we help him or not, he will fail. 无论我们帮他与否， 他都会失败。
The more you eat, the fatter you will become. 你吃得越多就会越胖。
② 另外，当主句为用将来时态时，定语从句也通常用一般现在时表将来。
eg：I’ll give you anything you ask for. 你要什么我都给你。
You can have anything I find. 我找到的任何东西你都可以拿去。 Everyone who comes first will get a present. 每个先来的人
都可得到一份礼物。
4.第三人称单数
在一般现在时中，如果主语是第三人称单数，谓语（动词）要有相应的变化。

A.一般情况加s，
例如：looks, listens, visits；
B.以ch, sh, s, x和少数以o结尾的词，加-es，
例如：teaches, washes, guesses, goes, does C.辅音字母加y结尾，变y为i加-es，
例如：carry-carries, study-studies
D．元音字母加y结尾，直接加s 例如：stay-stays，pay-pays 读音情况如下：
1）在[p], [t], [k], [f]清辅音后，读[s]，例如：hopes, invites, asks 2）在[z], [s], [?], [t?], [d?]后，读[iz]，例如：teaches, wishes, fixes
3）在浊辅音和元音及其它情况下， 读[z],例如：plans, tries, sends 注：如果留心看，你会发现这里的变化方式同名词变复数的方式是一样的。
