摘要：An optical signal source is described for use with an optical amplifier unit which
amplifies WDM optical signals. The optical signal source has independently controllablefrequency and output power. The optical signal source has a power output that iscontrolled on a sufficiently fast time scale to compensate for variation of input signals tothe amplifier. Additionally, optical frequency is stabilized at a predictable value relative tothe optical amplifier characteristics and the WDM optical signal band.
