Treasure the classics
As for whether it is worthwhile to value the property offered by the classics,there is a long-running controversial debate.However,as far as I am concerned,though contemporary literature proliferates nowadays,classics are still one of the most precious treasure of human's,and they should be cherished by all generations.Therefore,no matter how advancing the world is,the classics must be studied seriously.
Firstly,the classics,conveying the wisdom of the past,are the driving force to promote human progress.No one will forget the philosophy of Aristotle,the play of Shakespeare,or the Homer's Epic,for they all represent the highest achievement in the literature of that time.On the one hand,they help mankind make progress,and on the other hand,they inspire people to explore the unknown world.For example,their quotes,such as \"Plato is dear to me,but dearer still is truth\arouse people's desire for knowledge and truth.Besides,with more rational thoughts,superb intelligence and life experiences conveyed in them,the classics help humans move forward rapidly.
What's more,it is widely believed that we can experience the past life as well as the author's emotion through the classics.Take myself for example,after reading \"Pride and Prejudice\loving between Darcy and Elizabeth, and hence,I began to imagine the life at that time,which is a great experience.As classics provide us with many opportunities to know more about the past in this way,it is important to study them.
Last but not least,the styles and skills used in the classics greatly inspire the writers nowadays,which let them create more excellent works.For instance,based on the style of Hemingway,featured by the monosyllables and simple sentences, the novel \"The Road\" made a hit and quickly gained popularity.Yet,this is only one of the examples of these phenomena.Obviously,the classics are rich sources for the improvisation of the contemporary writers.
Generally,it is necessary for all generations to read the classics,ours being no exception.Having stood the test of time,they are worthy of being valued,for they provide us with old wisdom,life experiences and so on.Thus,let's go into action and cherish them earnestly!
